Debt registries, Registry of mortgaged movable property, and credit agencies

Where do I find my debt and my payment remarks?

Unsecured debt in the debt-registries

Your debt is unsecured when the lender has no guarantees for the money they loan to you. This usually gives you worse deal compared to if you put up any asset as collateral. We know of three debt registries in Norway that logs all your unsecured debt.

Secured debt and the Registry of Mortgaged Movable Property

Your debt is secured if you put any assets as collateral for what you owe. For example, your car can be collateral for your car loan. This means that the lender can make you sell your car if you cant pay what you owe.

Secured debt can be registred in the Register of Mortgaged Movable Property. This provides legal encumbrance against the person or buisness that secured claim concerns.
